BBI Records, is an American record label, founded in 1988 by Los Angeles CA native, Donald Bell. After a few years of working as a Music producer for various labels and working with some of the top names in the music industry, Mr. Bell was intrigued while seeing the creative process unfold and how it changed many young and talented individuals’ lives. But more importantly, after experiencing the high level of decision making and all the moving parts that it took to run a label, Donald was inspired to start his own independent label.His mission early on for his company was to stay true to the artistry, with a heart for the people and to bring in raw talent and a message that could make this world a better place. With an array of talented writers, producers and arrangers, BBI Records was able to release some ground breaking records in the early 80’s. With a genre mix of R&B, Jazz, Gospel, Funk, Blues and Soul, BBI Records has stay true to the Artistry with a heart for the people.
